Prof. Daoyuan Wu is currently an Assistant Professor at the School of Data Science, Lingnan University (LU), where he leads the AIS2Lab (Artificial Intelligence and Systems Security Lab).

Prior to joining LU, Dr. Wu was a Research Assistant Professor (RAP) at HKUST CSE for one year, a Senior Research Fellow at Nanyang Technological University for one year, and a Senior Researcher at Huawei HKRC for six months. Before that, he spent three years as a fully independent RAP in the Department of Information Engineering (IE) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). He also served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at CUHK IE for one year, from 2022 to 2023.

Prof. Wu has published 30+ CCF-A conf papers and 7 CCF-A journal articles, including 13 big-four security conf papers, 11 top-tier SE conf papers, and a Distinguished Paper Award at NDSS 2025. He has served as a regular TPC member at top-tier Security and AI conferences, as well as a Youth Editorial Board Member at the Cybersecurity journal. He has been the PI for the Stellar SDF Academic Research Award, the CCF-Huawei Populus Grove Fund for Systems, and several UGC Teaching and Learning Funds.

Cuifeng Gao is a final-year Ph.D. student at the University of Science and Technology of China, a member of China’s C9 League. She received her bachelor’s degree from Nanjing Normal University. She is expected to join AIS2Lab as a postdoctoral scholar in Summer 2026 and has been collaborating remotely since August 2025.

She has published in TOSEM 2024, TOSEM 2025, ASE 2024, EMNLP 2025 Findings, and QRS 2025. She is a key contributor to the Stellar project.

Her research focus is on LLMs for verification and Web3 Fintech security.

Dr. Anqi Liang received her Ph.D. from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, a member of China’s C9 League, and her bachelor’s degree from Ocean University of China. She is expected to join AIS2Lab as a postdoctoral scholar in mid-April 2026.

She has published as first author in VLDB 2025, VLDB Journal (VLDBJ) 2024, and Geoinformatica 2024.

Her research focuses on AI-driven trajectory analytics and their applications across various domains, as well as multimodal large language models (MLLMs) and RAG security.

Dr. Jiahuai Mao is currently a postdoc supervised by Prof. AU Man Ho Allen at PolyU. He has collaborated with the AIS2Lab as a remote visiting postdoc since March 2026. He received his Ph.D. from East China Normal University in 2025.

He has published as first author in TDSC 2025 and TSC 2024.

His research lies at the intersection of security, privacy, and machine learning.

Juantao Zhong has been a research assistant at AIS2Lab since August 2024. He obtained his MSc degree from Nanyang Technological University in 2024 and his Bachelor’s degree from South China University of Technology in 2022.

He has published as first author in ASE 2025 and has assisted the PI with multiple grant proposals. He is a key contributor to the HKUST TLIP project.

His research focus is on LLMs for cybersecurity, LLM compliance, and blockchain security.

Yufan Chen has been collaborating with the PI since he was an undergraduate student. He has been a Research Assistant at AIS2Lab since February 2025. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Xidian University in 2023. He expects to become a PhD student at LU, supported either by a scholarship or a part-time RA position.

He has published in ISSTA 2023 and EuroS&P 2024.

His research focus is on LLM agent security.

Wenxin Luo has been a Research Assistant at AIS2Lab since September 2025, co-supervised with Prof. Ning Liu from CityU. She obtained her MSc degree from City University of Hong Kong in 2025 and her Bachelor’s degree from Beijing University of Technology in 2023.

She has published as first author in ICASSP 2025.

Her research focus is on jailbreaking and AI safety, including multimodal models.

Haoyuan Li has been a Remote Intern at AIS2Lab since October 2025, supported by an open fund. He is currently a final-year undergraduate student at Xiamen University Malaysia. He will pursue his Master’s degree at the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in September 2026.

He is a key contributor to the CCF-Huawei project.

His research focus is on (intelligent) program analysis.

Pengyu Wang has been working with the PI at AIS2Lab since December 2025. He is pursuing the DAIS PhD degree at Lingnan University. He obtained his MSc degree from Lingnan University in 2025 and his Bachelor’s degree from Henan Agricultural University in 2023.

His research focus is on Web3 AI agents and MLLMs for medical image analysis.

Jialu Qin has been working with the PI at AIS2Lab since December 2025. She is pursuing the DAIS PhD degree at Lingnan University. She obtained her MSc degree from City University of Hong Kong in 2025 and her Bachelor’s degree from Jilin University in 2024.

Her research focus is on LLM + law/policy.

He Zhu has been working with the PI at AIS2Lab since December 2025. He is pursuing the DAIS PhD degree at Lingnan University. He obtained his MSc degree from New York University in 2021 and his Bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University in 2019.

His research focus is on layer-2 blockchains and MLLMs for FinTech.
